Captain / Ship Mechanic / Fisherman

Tom grew up in rural central Florida, and has been fishing and boating most of his life. The only natural next step for him was to become a liveaboard! He’s been living off-grid, on self-design and self-built solar systems, since 2018 and traveled over 100,000 miles via RV.

Elyse grew up outside Washington, D.C., and does her best to escape into the woods at any given opportunity. Tom has somehow managed to convince her to (temporarily) give up the wonderful hobby of long-distance backpacking, in favor of boat life.
