We spent five nights on anchor near Brittlebank Park in Charleston, SC. For a big city, it was a fantastic anchorage, and we would definitely stay there again! The anchorage was never crowded although we had company most of the nights we were anchored there. There was some wake at this anchorage, but it was minimal. And certainly nothing at all when compared to the main Charleston anchorages.

We took our dinghy to the dock at the park’s Harbor Gazebo. We saw many people coming to fish, but we didn’t experience any issues leaving our dinghy tied up there.

From the dinghy dock, this Publix is only 0.6 miles away! We walked over to the nearby Safe Harbour marina, and picked up our packages at the Amazon locker located there. There are other shops and restaurants nearby as well.

We met family in Charleston, so they provided transportation for us, but it wouldn’t be hard to use public transportation or grab a rideshare to head downtown from the park.

There are trash cans at the park, but no washrooms.
