Peaceful Solitude in the Marsh

The St. Catherine’s Island anchorage is located in a bend of Walburg Creek. There aren’t any amenities or attractions nearby, but sometimes that is the attraction of anchoring!

Walburg Creek is just of the Intracoastal Waterway, 30 miles south of Savannah, Georgia. The holding was excellent, and the anchor came up clean.

Although we didn’t venture ashore, it looked like there would be shore access enough to satisfy a dog or two.
