The breathtaking beauty of this anchorage does not make it worth all the wake we received here!

We read all the anchorage reviews that we could find for the Wrightsville Beach, NC area and this was reportedly the best we could do. I can’t even imagine the other anchorages, because from the time we dropped the hook at 2 PM until dark, we were waked.

Even though we were anchored with several other boats, some with swimmers down, we were still all waked repeatedly by beach-goers.

There is also a fair amount of shoaling here, and I’m pretty sure we booped the sandy bottom entering the anchorage. We can’t discourage you from staying here enough!
